BMW E9 mechanical steering Box rebuild. Circa 1968-1975

This e9 CSL steering is similar to the 2002 mechanical steering, but the CSL has 3 additional bearings, that the 2002 does not have.

The bearings are time consuming to replace.

The bearings in the e9 CSL’s mech steering are very similar to the e9 hydro power steering as they both have the 3 bearing setup.
